POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Manager is responsible for general abrasive sales as well as promoting all Fujimi products and developing new customers. Identify and strategically plan sales and distribution of Fujimi products and services. Manage existing customers and contract negotiation, and forecast sales and marketing trends in territory. Research new applications and provides technical support for existing and new products. Provides excellent sales support to customers by collaborating with sales teams to achieve and exceed customer requirements.  Position will work out of Dallas Texas office.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Meets with customers, assesses conditions and needs first hand and responds to technical and non-technical issues. 
  • Meets with distributors, discusses and solves specific customer complaints and concerns. 
  • Forecasts sales and monitors market trends. 
  • Reviews and studies current pricing and compares to competitors and current market conditions. 
  • Responsible for timely call reports for accounts. 
  • Maintains existing customer relations and develops new business through cold contacting as needed. 
  • Develop, present and respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions. 
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers. 
  • Visit prospective buyers at commercial, industrial, or other establishments to present product information. 
  • Arrange for product demonstrations or tests. 
  • Stay informed on industry news and trends, products, services, existing and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments. 
  • Develop sales plans to introduce products in new markets. 
  • Identify opportunities and support them to achieve sales plans.

  • Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education

Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Engineering or Business Management and technical experience.

Experience

4 plus years of experience in sales with preferred experience in sales and application of fine abrasive products.

Computer Skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, statistical programs, and CRM software.

Other Requirements

Preference given for Masters or Ph.D. degree and Japanese language skills.

Other Physical Requirements

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection

Work Environment

Works primarily in a manufacturing/office environment. May require working off-site. May require extensive traveling domestically and occasional evening meetings. Reoccurring visits to vendors and customers. Requires being in meetings and ability to sit for a long period of time.
